RaiseRight (formerly ShopWithScrip) is a digital fundraising platform that enables organizations (schools, churches, teams) to raise money through participants' everyday purchases. Users buy gift cards at face value for over 750 brands—including grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants—and earn a percentage back, often over 20%, as a rebate.

WHAT IS SCRIP?

Scrip is a term that means “substitute money.” When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue toward your athlete’s fees.

HOW DOES SCRIP GENERATE REVENUE FOR YOU?

Raise Right acts on behalf of churches, schools and other non-profit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. The RamDogs Youth Gymnastics Program (RYG) buys the scrip from Raise Right at a discount and re-sells the certificates to families for full face values. The discount is revenue for your athlete’s account. Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don’t have to sell anything. Revenue is produced by making regular household purchases that would be made anyway. Groceries, clothing, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip.

NATURE OF OUR SCRIP PROGRAM:

RYG is an ongoing fundraising program. The Scrip fiscal year will run from April 1 through March 31. A report will be generated monthly for each athlete detailing the revenue earned by each individual family to be applied to the athlete’s account.

SCRIP AGREEMENT:

A scrip agreement google form must be filled out and on file with the scrip coordinator. No orders will be processed without an agreement on file. Once this is on file, you will be considered a valid scrip participant. You do have the option of splitting your revenue between athletes anytime. If you wish to make a change, a new agreement form must be completed and submitted for the change to take place. The change will become effective for the next order placed after receiving the new agreement.

HOW TO ORDER SCRIP:

Register at www.raiseright.com with either your debit/credit card or your bank account. Once verified and a scrip agreement is on file, you are good to order. There is a nominal fee for both debit/credit card purchases and for purchases from your bank account.

PAYMENT:

Everything is electronic. You may place orders for family members or you may have family members fill out their own enrollment form.

DISCLAIMER:

The scrip gift cards are normal retailer gift cards and should be treated the same as cash. RYG will not be responsible for gift cards that are lost, stolen, or misplaced while in your possession. The Scrip program is run solely by volunteers as a fundraiser for RYG. We reserve the right to terminate the Scrip Program at any time. It is a non-profit fundraiser, meaning that you cannot receive money back as a refund. If your athlete is injured, terminated from a team, ineligible, graduates, etc., any revenue earned will go to the general fund. 

Yes.  That being said, the fees are nominal.  If you link your bank account, the fee is $0.29 per transaction.  If you use a debit card, the fee is 1%.  If you use a credit card, the fee is 3%.
